New Class Alert    -  Starting February 16, 2025

Starting on Sundays at 5pm Eastern Time I am adding a class called "Sunday Stretch".  This class is inspired by the Wong and Jue crew that so kindly took my classes during 2020/2021.  The late afternoon stretch will focus on one area of the body and we will focus more on stretching. My goal is to allow you to feel refreshed before you start the work week!

Yin Teacher Training

I completed my yin teacher training in November 2024.  I am looking for students to teach. Please reach out if you are interested in trying the softer side of yoga practice.

New Class Opportunity - Bachelorette Party

I had the honor of teaching yoga as part of a Bachelorette weekend. It was so much fun. I learned a little bit about the bride to be and made a custom Spotify playlist for class.  We also tried some very basic partner yoga because if you are going to be coupled that partner yoga could come in handy! Please reach out via email if you are interested.

Less frequent class updates on the website - March 26, 2023

I recognize I have not been the best at updating the website with weekly classes. I thank you for all those that keep coming even with less updates. I am teaching. I'm focusing on Wind Down Wednesday evening class and my Soulful Sunday class. If there is a time that you would love a class, please let me know!

As to why, I love yoga and I also have another career.  If you have reach this site, know I do everything for this -  scheduling, email, updating, continuing education, and all operation functions. I do this because I love yoga and believe it can benefit everyone.  The updates may pick back up.

I also use Instagram stories to announce class reminders within 24 hours.

New Class Alert    -  Starting October 23rd, 2022

Starting on Sundays at 9am Eastern Time I am adding a class called "Soulful Sunday".  The plan is to build a sequence of postures and run through it several times.  I find some times when you repeat the same sequence you get the added benefit of muscle memory and can focus more deeply on the breath.

I also plan to have new music every week.  I hope to see you there.

Thoughts after my first year of teaching: One Year or Year One

I distinctly remember Derek Cook, one of my Yoga Teacher Trainers, stating that the first year of teaching yoga is messy.  That is OK.  Keep going because each one of you has something to say.

When I started this site and offering classes, I had no idea if anyone would want to practice with me. Just like that it is one year later of 'officially' teaching. I would agree it was messy.  I learned a lot about myself and about teaching yoga.

I am SO humble and grateful for all the people that have shown up for a class.

I could not call myself a teacher without mentioning a few people in no particular order.  Thank you so much to Melissa, Nira, Michelle, Jon, Low, Jenny and Rose. While I may fill the 'teacher' role, I learned more from them than they may ever know.  They showed kindness, patience, and probably most importantly a willingness to try.

Given everything in 2020, this may have been one of a kind one year and also showed me what one year can bring.  I look forward to continuing to teach. Thank you all for this first year!

To any new yoga teachers, keep showing and and keep teaching.  Last but not least, keep practicing and keep in touch with your fellow YTTs.
